I also do day trades if I spot breakout opportunities.
How do you trade a stock that opens up as the market opens?
Everyone should have their own trading system and rules. For my case, I only daytrade after the first 30 minutes and then try to spot breakout pattern to enter a position. If I hold stock over night, I usually sell it in the first 30 minutes.
